The Challenge
C.B. Sullivan Company had run out of space for small-item storage and was using pallet rack locations for multiple SKUs, requiring high-reach lift trucks for order picking.
The Approach
Indoff proposed an 8,300-square-foot Cogan mezzanine. Cogan engineering field-measured the site, and columns were positioned between flow-rack sections, within existing shelving and outside conveyor lines. The distribution center remained operating during installation.
The Outcome
The published Indoff case study reports increased floor and storage space, cleared pallet locations for full pallets, reduced reliance on picking trucks and a more streamlined picking operation.
